Today it all ends. We thanked Toshiko and went to the airport quite early. Thanks to that Eva is less stressed about the flight. I could do with more sleep. Our flight is delayed by 1.5h, so more waiting. I thought I’ll post the previous journal entries while waiting, but the airport WiFi kills puppies and I just ended up frustrated. KLM turns out to be much worse than any other airline I flew with. The seats aren’t very comfy, the headrest won’t stay in place, the windows are dirty or scratched, the entertainment screens are tiny, their movie selection sucks, there are no power sockets on board, even their food is mediocre – and they offer no airport food vouchers for passengers with long connection waits. They are closer to Ryanair than Emirates, feels like.
The cool thing was: because of the timing of our flight, sunset lasted 8 hours today. Also, looking down at Siberia and the Arctic… there really is nothing there.
In Amsterdam everyone is so tall and Caucasian… And rubbish bins exist. Bye bye fancy toilets, bye bye weird food, bye bye curvy roofs.
