Jemma and Simon at a City, Temple in Europe, Italy

We had a lovely sleep by a park where is city walls used to be. The nights are getting warmer, have to say!

Before leaving Verona we saw one more church – and it was definitely worth staying for! St Zeno is the patron of the city and his church is magnificent. Opening with a fantastic bronze door with some cool demonic scenes and a curious head chopping – passing – eating (?) sequence, full of fantastic frescos (carved up by people who just had to sign their name on them…), and with a beautiful altar.

We were thrown out after 20 mins by an event. Rude!
