Jemma and Simon with Bruce, Jane in Europe, UK

Last night, Jemma sent her parents some of our pictures from Pisa, saying how we’re just there now and are planning to spend Christmas in Genoa. Meanwhile, we got off the ferry in Plymouth, drove to Truro where we met with some of Jemma’s friends at a bar gig, and then headed to Falmouth, quietly parked some 200 metres away from her parents house and went to sleep. Well, some sleep, as the excited Jemma couldn’t sleep and kept me awake as well…

And today, 9am, we showed up on their doorstep, rang, and started singing Christmas carols! Bruce was stunned as he opened the door, and Jane was super surprised as well. Mission success! They took a while to get back to their senses, completely didn’t expect that, but were very happy. Yay!

Ok, that’s it for now! Signing off for holidays, journal might continue later!
