Jemma and Simon at a Temple, UNESCO site in Europe, France

Randomly saw a sign for Le Corbusier’s Notre Dame du Haut on the way! Crazy lucky, we didn’t even think we’ll be stopping anywhere on the way, but this just had to be done! But alas, when we arrived, the place was locked up – damn you Covid!!!

We were about the pack and leave, were already sitting in the car, when we saw this couple just coming out from behind the fence. They proceeded to casually jump back out over the wall next to the fence, and explained in basic Spanish that there is someone in a guardroom inside, but they managed to sneak past super easily, and the church is totally open. So, without thinking too much, we did the same! So lucky!

Architecture tastes so much better with a little dash of trespassing!
