Jemma and Simon at a Mountain in Europe, Spain

Last night we thought we’ll drive up all the way to Cadaques to spend the night, but got distracted by what looked like an observatory on the hills on the way. We turned to drive up there, but it turned out to be a military zone, so we just parked nearby, in a layby where the view was just magnificent. Well, except for the car that also parked there with some cyclist. We hoped he’d leave before the night, but apparently he was also staying over! Ah well, details.

The night was much much cooler, and the howling wind turned out to be a nice lullaby – it even rocked our cot! In the morning the view was amazing. With the clouds and wind and hills it almost looked like we’re back in Scotland – except for the 25 degrees at 8am.

All in all, it was a very good night’s sleep for me. Jemma slept for nearly 12h, but sadly woke up with a headache, likely heatstroke from yesterday.
