Jemma and Simon at a Mountain in Europe, Spain

Random finds are the best.

We were on the road to Tarragona, looking for a place to park for the night. We drove off the road towards the hills, climbing up a windy road and considering various spots, when a view opened: a bunch of buildings hanging on a cliff. We just had to get there and we did! Welcome to Miramar, a small settlement built on a site of a long-gone castle.

We parked on a very quiet parking site and had the best night’s sleep in ages. No mice, no noises, a reasonable temperature (even had to pull the duvet on at some point!), and a wonderful sun peaking through the windows in the morning to gently wake us up. Amazing!
