Jemma and Simon at a Sea in Europe, Spain

Cadaqués is not far from the end of the Cap de Creus, ande at the end there is a lighthouse. Because of course there is. The drive was super picturesque, but it seems that more people had the same idea – finding a parking spot by the lighthouse turned out to be mission impossible – we ended up parking in front of the bins and just not staying very long. I guess Sunday and holidays is not a great time if you want quiet. Pretty spectacular views though.

On the way back, we stopped in Roses, which was meant to be another picturesque seaside town, but turned out to be significantly less nice than Cadaqués. We had a nice lunch and a discussion on how people manage to create such ugly towns in such beautiful places and not see a problem in it. Is a mystery.

We thought of having a swim and a shower, and going to Girona next, but Jemma’s headache was getting worse, so we just packed up and left for Banyoles instead, hoping to have a some cool time by the lake.
