Jemma and Simon at a Castle, City, Graveyard, Museum, Temple, UNESCO site in Czechia, Europe

Prague turned out quite boring, perhaps even worse than I remember from the last visit. Loud stag and hen parties everywhere, the city centre is overrun by tourism’s lowest denominator. This crowd is served by an assortment of bullshit ‘museums’ of everything.

The Prague Castle is great but mostly not available to visitors, so it’s not terribly clear what you’re paying for in there. The Golden Lane is disappointing for having no alchemy in it.

Vysehrad was probably the best place we visited, being far from the centre.

The Municipal House was also quite good and it hosted a Mucha exhibition which was really impressive.

Do NOT waste money on a Trdelník, it’s very disappointing for the price.

It’s quite hard to find Czech food, and we had some bad restaurant experiences, waste of money.

Rozhledna DOUBRAVKA XIV was a pretty cool tower.

At the end, the Rammstein concert was totally great!
